Lily Kieffer
Lilian Louise was born on April 13, 2024, and from the moment we found out about her, she was deeply loved. When she came earth side, she changed our lives for the better in every possible way. Her older sister, Mia, was completely obsessed with her from the very beginning. She adored her baby sister. Sweet Lily left us on April 23, 2025, at only 1 year and 10 days old.
Lily was fiery, beautiful, ornery, and oh so sweet. She had a light about her that you couldn’t help but feel the moment she entered a room. She loved riding in the little red car with her older sister, climbing the stairs only to get to the top and look back with the proudest grin, and sitting in her ball pit giggling at the simplest joys. She had a deep love for chicken noodle soup and was always trying to steal Mia’s snacks.
Lily was just beginning to take her first steps around her first birthday and was hitting all of her milestones. She had started saying “mama” and “dada” more intentionally and was such a happy, joy-filled baby. We are so grateful that love, safety, and happiness are all she ever truly knew.
Lily showed no signs of having a tumor, and it wasn’t until months after she passed, when we received the final reports, that we learned she had ATRT — a rare and aggressive brain tumor located on her brainstem.
While we will never fully understand why this happened, we do know that Lily is safely in the hands of her Creator. Her life, though far too short, continues to impact others in ways we never could have imagined. Through her story, we hope to raise awareness for ATRT, support research for children and families affected by this devastating diagnosis, and honor the beautiful little girl who made us better simply by being ours.
In Lily’s honor, proceeds from the MBC sale will be donated to Hope4ATRT to help support families, research, and the fight against pediatric brain cancer. We pray Lily’s light continues to shine through every life touched by her story.
