In Loving Memory of Theo

Theo was a happy, energetic boy who loved clocks, cars, and all things tools. In early 2025, at 14 months old, he began experiencing intermittent vomiting. After exploring possible allergies and reflux with his pediatrician, Theo was sent to the ER on March 31, 2025, for further evaluation. Tests revealed a large posterior fossa tumor, and Theo was immediately airlifted to Memphis, Tennessee, where surgeons at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital achieved a gross total resection. Pathology confirmed a diagnosis of AT/RT (TYR subtype).

After a short period recovering at home with family and friends, Theo returned to Memphis to begin treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Pre-treatment scans and a lumbar puncture confirmed no evidence of disease (NED) following his surgery. He began treatment on the SJYCO7 protocol, completing four rounds of high-dose chemotherapy and six weeks of proton radiation.

Although Theo finished radiation in October, scans later revealed a relapse in multiple places in his brain. In January 2026, he began a modified MEMMAT protocol to help manage his condition, continuing to display extraordinary bravery and resilience throughout every step of his medical journey.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, after a courageous 16-month battle, Theo gained his angel wings.

Theo was the bravest and strongest fighter, and he never let his disease keep him down. His team didn't expect him to make it past the holidays, so his family remains extremely grateful for the precious extra time they shared together. His baby sister got to spend the first nine months of her life with him, and their family of four had some incredible adventures together. Theo saw a real rocket launch, drove construction trucks, went to three national parks, and made countless memories full of laughter and love.

Theo's family shares, "We are so proud of his courage and strength. His light was so bright, and we intend to carry it with us for the rest of our lives. We love you, buddy. We'll see you again."
