Hope4ATRT has awarded $25,000 to PNOC030, a groundbreaking comprehensive ATRT Registry. This registry is the first of its kind, collecting and managing patient tumor tissue, imaging, and clinical data.
The PNOC030 Registry will be an invaluable tool for understanding ATRT, accelerating research, and improving data collection and sharing within the scientific community. It will help identify prognostic variables and new therapies, including immunotherapies. Additionally, the registry will facilitate collaboration between translational and clinical trials with novel agents.
Dr. Ashley Margol, Director of the Brain Tumor Center Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and co-leader of the ATRT Working Group shares, "The ATRT registry will be an incredible resource to the ATRT community who recognizes that there are still too many unanswered questions. It is the first registry of its kind to be developed with the specific intention of serving as an extra control cohort to help design more efficient clinical trials in the future – something that patients and families deserve."
The PNOC Foundation AT/RT Working Group, a global collaboration of physicians and scientists, regularly meets to share pre-clinical data and discuss research strategies. This group is currently developing a clinical trial for newly diagnosed AT/RT patients to identify potential clinical or molecular factors associated with survival. They are also working on several clinical trial options for children with progressive or recurrent disease.
Through our continued support for the PNOC030 ATRT Registry, Hope4ATRT is committed to driving progress in the fight against ATRT.
